Ellijay-Blue Ridge-Ellijay
Description: This 58 mile ride goes north from Ellijay to Blue Ridge and back. Some of this route was included in the 2003 Tour of Georgia. There are two steep hills, Deep Gap (28 mile mark) and on Newport Road (~40 mile mark) that will get your attention. This course is rolling, but the rollers here are greater in magnitude than we have in the Gwinnett area. There are stores in Ellijay and Blue Ridge but the route from Blue Ridge back has none of significance. The last 3 miles are on GA 52 but there is a bike lane and it is mostly downhill. This ride leaves from the Ellijay public parking lot just south of the town square.
Directions: Take 75N to 575N. When 575N stops, follow GA route 5/515 to GA Route 52. Take a left onto 52 and follow into town. The parking lot is just south of the town square.
