The European Classic: This year is the 98th edition. Even though it is one of the 8 "orthodox" classics, more
impressive is that it is one the "5 Monuments" along with Milan-SanRemo (La
Primavera), Ronde van Vlaanderen (Ronde van de Apalachee), Paris-Roubaix
(L'Enfer du Walton) and Liege-Bastogne-Liege (La Doyenne).
GTC Classic Course Description:
Our rolling ~80 km ride traverses smooth and quiet roads in Barrow,
Jackson and Hall counties (a shorter 65 km option is available).
This course contains the single longest hill (Maberry in Hall county) we
can find in all of our GTC rides. There will be 3 fun optional sprints for
unofficial prizes.
Directions: Ride leaves from the Auburn police station. From I-85, take highway 316 east 17 km and make a left on Highway 8 (intersection of highway 29 and 316). Pass through Dacula to Auburn (10 km).
